DC Early Childhood Education Center
The Board of Child Care provides quality child care services for children, ages 12 months to 5 years, at the Early Childhood Education Center in the District of Columbia. Our dedicated staff are compassionate and professional, providing attentive care and lifetime learning experiences for your child.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT
Our Center uses the Creative Curriculum – one of the best curriculums in the early childhood education field that is based on play and hands-on experiences. Our classrooms are spacious and well lit, and children are placed in small groups by age.
Activities include story reading, dance, music, block and puzzle play, dramatic play, arts and crafts, computer time, water play, introduction to academics, pre-reading, science, math, social studies, field trips and outdoor play. Parents are invited to participate in activities any time of the day.
SAFETY AND SECURITY
Safety comes first at the Board of Child Care. Controlled access and security cameras are in place throughout the Center. Webcams allow parents to watch their children remotely. Our indoor playroom and rooftop playground are spacious and safe.
A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are included in the monthly tuition. The food is catered and approved by the United States Department of Agriculture.
