Trainings, Orientations and Other Events
ORIENTATION -- for the DC Foster Care Program ONLY
The next orientation session takes place Jan. 3, 2013, 5 p.m., at the DC Foster Care office. Orientations are designed to provide an overview of foster parenting. Attendance is free. Sign up to attend by contacting Carol Nicholson at 202-291-3330 ext. 114.
The next PRIDE training classes for foster parents will be on Saturdays, beginning Jan. 12, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
TRAINING & RESOURCES
- Kayla’s Village, the DC Foster Care Program's partner, often sponsors trainings designed for social workers, but BCC foster parents can attend for free. Child care is provided. Trainings are held at the HSC Pediatric Center, 1731 Bunker Hill Road, Northeast, Washington, DC 20017. Contact kaylasvillage@aol.com for more information.
