International Adoptions

This program places children for adoption who are currently residing in orphanages or fosters homes in Eastern Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Through our partnership with Adoptions Together, children of all ages and either gender are placed with loving families. Parents do travel to the country and are escorted throughout the entire adoption process. Families receive extensive preparation for an international adoption as well as assistance with all of the paperwork and travel arrangements.
Eastern Europe
Children in need of adoption from Eastern Europe include infants, toddlers, and older children, both boys and girls, and some sibling groups. Russia is the largest country in this region placing children, but former provinces of the Soviet Union are sometimes open to international adoptions.
Asia
Children in need of adoption from China are almost exclusively infants and toddler girls. They are generally 10 to 12 months of age when they are referred for adoption, and about 12 to 15 months of age when they travel home with their new parents. Some older children are also waiting for families.
Children from Vietnam and Cambodia are generally infants under the age of 6 months, both boys and girls. Some older children are also waiting to be adopted. At this time, adoption programs in Vietnam and Cambodia are currently on hold as issues relating to the adopt process are worked out by government officials both here in the United States and in Vietnam and Cambodia.
Latin America
Children in need of adoption from Latin America reside in Guatemala and include infants, toddlers, and older children of either gender. Most of the children placed are infants relinquished at birth by their birth mother, and most of the children are in foster care, though some are cared for in an orphanage in Guatemala City.
