Many children and families wrestle with feelings of grief, anger, or loss from time to time. When you’re facing troubling life situations, we’re here to help you manages these emotional difficulties and to help you achieve positive changes in your life.
Counseling helps provide the necessary skills to keep family members together and to transition children into healthy and productive young adults. At the Board of Child Care, we are dedicated to reaching out to families and youth to foster strong self-esteem and healthy relations.
The Board of Child Care’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinic serves children and their families who require physical, emotional, behavioral, and social support. Agency staff provide a safe, healthy, and caring environment, while offering competent, compassionate assistance in a variety of difficult life situations, such as:
Parents struggling with children and youth who seem to be out of control at home, in school, and in other settings
Youth experiencing depression and feelings that life is out of control or perhaps not worth living
Youth experiencing grief and loss
Families adjusting to the challenge of having a foster child in their home
Other life crises

Fees
Payment options are reviewed at the time of the initial telephone contact and during the admission process. Medical assistance and most major insurance packages are accepted. Sliding scale fees are also available based on need.
Hours
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services are also available during weekend and evening hours by pre-arranged scheduling or in case of emergency.
Location
The clinic is conveniently located in Anne Arundel County on Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, convenient to Route 3, Route 97, Route 695, Route 100, and Route 10.
