The Child and Family Behavioral Support Program is grant funded through the Caroline County Local Management Board. This is a free voluntary program serving families of incarcerated parents or caregivers in Caroline County.  Our goal is minimizing the impact of incarceration for families in our local community.

  • High levels of Caregiver and Child stress
  • Difficulty connecting children with incarcerated parent
  • Processing emotions related to parental or caregiver incarceration
  • Disruptive behaviors in school or at home
  • Subsequent mental health issues
  • Substance use and abuse

If you are experiencing any of these issues, you are not alone. We may be able to help.

SERVICES:

  • Preparation for and transportation to visitation
  • Individualized Behavior Assessments and Plans
  • Assistance securing other community resources and services
  • Child, Caregiver and Incarcerated Parent Training and Skill Building
  • Re-entry and discharge planning
  • Family reunification planning
  • Support for Children in school (IEP meetings, Tutoring, After School Programs)
  • Support for caregivers (planned activities for children, in home consultation and assessment,
    development of a comprehensive behavior management plan, training and assistance with
    implementation.)
