Support BCC This Holiday Season

Help make this the "most wonderful time of the year" at Board of Child Care!

There is an old song that says ‘it’s the most wonderful time of the year’ and – for most of us – Christmas is a time to celebrate and reflect. Sadly, though, the holidays may be the opposite for some children at the Board of Child Care (BCC). They struggle with mental and behavioral health challenges due to various circumstances, often outside of their control. Their feelings of sadness, depression, low self-confidence, and loneliness can intensify during the holiday season. In some cases, the youth cannot spend the holidays with their family or may not have a family to visit.

Each day staff at BCC’s Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia campuses provide an extensive range of services to meet the unique and often complex mental and behavioral health needs of those we serve. Last year we helped over 1,000 youth and their families! Your gift today helps us continue to improve the well-being of children and youth through trauma-informed, therapeutic interventions.

Please remember the extraordinary work that happens at BCC each day, as you and your family prepare for this holiday season.

BCC strives to provide the youth with enriching experiences throughout the year, especially during the holiday season. Many components of our program are made entirely possible through community partners and individuals, just like you. You can make your donation securely online at either website:

www.umhc.org/christmas (Mechanicsburg, PA Campus)

Please consider making it your New Year’s resolution to become a monthly donor and support our work all year round. Thank you from our youth and families who benefit from your extraordinary and generous giving! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
