Adoption is a life-long process, extending far beyond the initial touchpoint. It can bring about waves of mixed emotions and challenges at different moments in life for all persons involved.

Sometimes, in the years following an adoption, parents and/or adult adoptees wish to reunite with their family member(s) — a decision that can greatly impact familial relationships and personal well-being.

We offer post-adoption support and reunification services to individuals and families who completed their adoption with the Board of Child Care and are over 21 years of age. Our detailed records of all past BCC adoptions makes the process quick, and our staff can act as an intermediary for contact as needed.

Facilitating a Search

The search process operates under the principle of mutual consent, meaning the birth parent or adopted person being searched for can choose if they want contact with the person searching for them.
