Long Term Foster Care

How can you, our partners, help youth on their journey?

Our responsibility is to temporarily place youth with family members, sponsors or foster parents currently in the United States as they go through immigration court. The Caminos Program has served hundreds of children, reuniting them with family members and Foster Parents.

Join the hundreds of foster care parents across the United States who are meeting the needs of vulnerable youth in Maryland and West Virginia.

Long-Term Foster Care

“Caminos” provides short-term shelter to unaccompanied children under 18 years of age who lives are in Jeopardy after fleeing alone from Central America’s “Northern Triangle”—the countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. These countries are overrun by organized crime, violence, human trafficking and persecution, and the region has the world’s highest homicide rate. San Pedro Sula in Honduras, for example, is considered the murder capital of the world—with 187 murders per 100,000 inhabitants—driven by a surge in gang and drug-trafficking violence.
